Testimonials:

“This teacher training was amazing! Everything was thought out and explained very throughly”

“The training broke everything down, so you understood why and how to build a class that would challenge and strengthen everyone that was in the studio. No matter their skill level.  You learned about music, class structure, muscles, modifications and proper form.”

Meet the Teachers

Sarah Madeline Barron
Owner and Founder

Sarah has been teaching yoga since 2000, started barre classes in 2010, and has since delved into pilates. This is her passion and love to explore the flow of body movement, anatomy, and her continuous effort to seek out education and certifications. You will find her teaching style to be heavily focused on safe yet challenging workout classes that offer a wide range in helping to meet the person where they are.  Barre is a class that has the perfect balance that will ensure to give you strength, mind-body connection, and a no-need-for-perfection but just plain sassy fun.

She has had 100+ hrs of Anatomy and Physiology collectively in her training and as a graduate of the Forensic Anthropology program of UNCW.  2 decades of teaching yoga along with her 500E-RYT, and Certified Balanced Body Mat and Reformer Instructor. She  will confidently lead teachers to use these skills to know how to work the body and teach effective classes that offer modifications and what areas are being focused on when teaching a circuit.    She hopes to create a training that people will feel confident to explore on their own by providing a perspective outline,  how to pair movement and music, and create a class that people will continuously attend.

Rachel has always had a passion for exercise. She started teaching an array of fitness classes when she was the Director of Wellness for the YMCA in 2011. She knew movement was key for her to stay happy and satisfied in life. When she started taking barre classes in 2018 she immediately knew she had been missing out on something BIG. She loved the way that it managed to hit all those little muscles that you don’t necessarily get with other kinds of workouts. It amazed her how such tiny movements and light weight could transform the way she felt. She told everyone who would listen about it. Rachel knew barre was going to be in her “forever”.

Having a degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina gave her a strong foundation to build on. Rachel was able to get certified in different areas of the fitness industry with confidence. Rachel leads her participants through an effective and empowering class together. She is keen to watch how people are responding and make modifications as needed. She wants everyone to have the “YES YOU CAN” feeling when class is over. While her classes follow a traditional format there is plenty of fun to be had. Her playlist is going to have today’s hits as well as those gems from the early 2000s. Traditional doesn’t mean boring!

She wants to create a teaching environment where students learn a solid foundation that they can build from and add their own flare. Each student must find their voice and she hopes to give them the tools to succeed.
